पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 12 - 13; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 21-22; गुदा कांटा 2; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 22 - 23; जानवरों की रीड़ का जोड़: 34. This species is distinguished by the following characters: total vertebrae 34, midline of body with a dark black band; 8-9 lateral processes along entire lateral side of main body of swimbladder, 2 posterior extensions of the swimbladder (Ref. 93385).

Inhabit inshore coastal waters (Ref. 6205). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Also caught using driftnets and mini-trawlers.
