Short description
Dorsal spines (total): 3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 27 - 30; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 25 - 27. Cheek with 3 narrow, slightly diagonal dark-brown grooves. A longitudinal groove in front of eye. No enlarged osseous scales behind gill opening. Attains 26 cm SL.
