Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 0; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 89-106; Afterflossenstacheln 0; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 73 - 89; Wirbelzahl: 102 - 108. Parietal bones are not connected with each other and are separated by the upper occipital bone throughout their length.

Found under stones in the channel of a river during low tide (Ref. 74969). Largest mature individuals caught measure 21.5-31.5 cm TL (Ref. 74969). Viviparous, with variable number of eggs, 4-131 (Ref. 74969).
