Short description
Dorsal spines (total): 16 - 17; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8 - 9; Anal soft rays: 6 - 7; Vertebrae: 27 - 29. Body extremely slender, body depth 24.8-30.9%SL. Dentary pores 3; infraorbital pores 4; lachrymal pores 3; extrascapular pore 2. No thickened dorsal fin lappets nor thickened pelvic fin margin. Caudal fin base with a wide, curved bar. Color pattern features 10 dark entire, strongly curved dark bar across caudal fin base, prominent in males. No dark blotch on superficial part of cleithrum, posterodorsally on opercular margin, nor on dorsolateral side of caudal peduncle (Ref. 46238).
