पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 7; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 8-9; गुदा कांटा 1; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 7 - 9; जानवरों की रीड़ का जोड़: 25. 56-61 lateral scales; 15-17 transverse scales; 23-26 scales around caudal peduncle and 16 or 17 pectoral fin-rays; anterior nasal tubes long, extending beyond the lip; 5 transverse rows of neuromasts below the eye, the 2nd,3rd and 4th rows continue across the longitudinal row below them; the 2 oblique rows of neuromasts on the opercle unite at their posterior ends; 6 or 7 transverse rows lie on each side of the upper snout and interorbital space (Ref. 38395).
Inhabits rivers and creeks of little to high current velocity between the sea and 75 m elevation. Carnivorous (Ref. 36880).
