Short description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal soft rays: 17. Obtuse snout, dorsal profile slightly inclined. Nasal openings vertically aligned. Small gill rakers on first branchial arch. Dark head, snout and back with 9 lateral vertical bands: first 4 in losange form, the others more ore less jar, the last bar cuts the base of the caudal. The longest ray of dorsal is dark and the branched rays are lined with black spots. Dorsal: 3 simple and 8 branched rays. Anal: 3 simple and 14 branched rays.
