Short description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 12 - 15; Anal soft rays: 10 - 11. Body depth 2.75-3.8x and head length 1.8-2.2x SL. Caudal peduncle 1.2-1.5x long than high. Round snout, smaller than eyes. Maxillary not reaching anterior border of eyes with 2-3 bicuspids at its superior angle. Adipose present but generally absent. Brown olive, dark back and sides. Lateral line dark and thin (33-35 scales) from tip of snout to caudal peduncle base ending in a small black round spot.
