Dorsal spines (total): 2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 14 - 19. Body height 3.2-4 times in standard length (Ref. 42032). Head length 3.45-3.8 times in standard length (Ref. 42032). Cuspid number: on external row of upper jaw 4-6, on internal row of upper jaw 5-9, external row of lower jaw 6-8, internal row of lower jaw 1 (Ref. 42032). Lateral line always complete (Ref. 2880)). Gill rakers on first ceratobranch (Ref. 2880). Body silvery with glossy lateral stripe (Ref. 2880), starting behind the operculum, progressively enlarging and ending at the origin of the caudal fin (Ref. 42032). Base of lateral line scales blackish (Ref. 42032). Fins grayish without black spot (Ref. 2880).
