Short description
Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 6. Bony head. Nasal openings: 1) tubules, 2) semi-circle behind tubules. Narrow gill opening. Dorsal and anal with 2 simple and 4 branched rays. Skeletal formula: 3.5/35-38/4.5:3.5:16 sexual dimorphism at 210 cm TL: males with 4 large tubercles around eye and spinules on caudal peduncle. Paired fins tinted with red.
