Short description
Distinguished from other Crossocheilus species in the area in having a black longitudinal stripe on the sides (Ref. 27732). With 1-1 1/2 scale rows between vent and anal fin (Ref. 12693).
Biology

The species name has been applied to several species described or undescribed, and will be synonymized in the next update. It is either Garra cambodgiensis (Tirant, 1883), Crossocheilus atrilimes Kottelat, 2000, Crossocheilus langei Bleeker, 1860, or an undescribed lemon-finned Crossocheilus (Josef Niederle, pers. comm., 18/09/08). Found at bottom depths in streams and rivers. Moves into flooded forests during periods of high water and may spawn there. Feeds on algae, periphyton and phytoplankton. Most likely used to make prahoc (Ref. 12693). Aquarium keeping: needs plant feed; in groups of 5 or more individuals; minimum aquarium size 100 cm (Ref. 51539).
