Short description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal soft rays: 8. Small size, long enough barbels: anterior reaching eye middle and posterior extending past posterior eye border. Horizontal lateral lines or maybe incomplete. Light body with scales lined with black. Black longitudinal band from snout to caudal peduncle. Series of black spots marking lateral line. Uncolored fins. Dorsal and anal with 3 simple rays.

Affinities: B. niokoloensis and B. zalbiensis (Ref. 2940). Maximum TL was recorded at 4.4 cm (Ref. 2801).
