Short description

Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal soft rays: 8. Convex dorsal profile. Lines of cephalic pores very visible. Moderately developed barbels, anterior may reach anterior eye border, posterior reaching middle of eye. Horizontal lateral line. Dorsal and Anal with 3 simple rays. External border of dorsal fin concave.

Maximum TL was recorded at 11 cm. Polymorphic. Occurs mostly in forest rivers (Ref. 2801).
