पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 10; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 9; गुदा कांटा 3; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 7. Body pinkish above, shading through pale mauve to silvery on ventral half with 4 or 5 longitudinal, upward-curved silvery-white stripes along the middle of each scale row below lateral line.

Inhabit sand and muddy bottoms (Ref. 9785).
