Short description
Morfologia | Morfometria
Spine dorsali (totale): 6 - 7; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 7-8; Spine anali 1; Raggi anali molli: 9 - 12. Gill rakers on first lower gill arch 12-15. Midlateral scales 33-36.
Predominantly carnivorous. Frequently caught in estuaries and enclosed coastal lakes. Preyed on by larger, juvenile of commercial species occurring in estuarine nursery habitats.
