Short description
Dorsal spines (total): 7 - 8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9 - 10; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 8 - 9. Cheek scales in 2 rows. Lateral line strongly curved midway and runs long with a silvery mid-lateral band. Lower margin of interoperculum with a single spine.
Biology
    Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)
Adults occur in brackish mangrove estuaries and lower reaches of freshwater streams (Ref. 2847, 37816). Probably feed on small insects, crustaceans and other invertebrates. Not seen in markets (Ref. 12693).
