Comments: Reproduction peaks from mid-June to mid-July. Peak spawning noted between 18° and 20°C. Individuals usually spawn intermittently for 25-50 days, most intensively between 1600 and 2200 hrs. Ripe eggs are 1.31-1.51 mm in diameter, swelling to 2.62-3.68 after fertilization. Eggs maintained at about 19.6°C hatched within 49 hrs. and within 42 hrs. at 20.4°C. Hatchlings of 4-6 cm seen moving downstream.
