Additional Characters The egg has a flattend oval shape, 1.8-1.9 mm long, 1.5-1.56 mm broad, 1.0 mm high. Yolk is unsegmented. Base on daily observations, fine black pigment spots appeared scattered over the posterior portion of the body when the embryo was half-way round the yolk. The black pigmentation intensified considerably and on the seventh day, the eyes started to pigment. Red chromatophores appeared on the eighth day postanally, and yellow chromatophores were to be seen on the tenth day. The blood circulation on the yolk was already apparent on the sixth day.
