Additional Characters | Egg is slightly flattened where it is attached to the substrate. Egg width is 0.7-0.8 mm, depth is 0.6-0.65 mm. The yolk is bright yellow and has numerous bright drops of fat. During development, star-like melanophores emerge on the surface of the yolk sac, which disappear prior to hatching (Ref. 34679). |
