Family:  Zenarchopteridae (Internally fertilized halfbeaks)
Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed); 6.7 cm (female)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range - 0 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Muna Island, Celebes and Arnhem Land, Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-9; Vertebrae: 41-41. Upper jaw slightly longer than wide; width divided by length 0.81-0.87. A small black basicaudal spot present at end of silvery lateral band. Pectoral fin much shorter than head length; head length divided by lower jaw length 0.61-0.64. Males unknown (Ref. 10988).
Biology:  Found in harbors and mangrove areas (Ref. 48635).
