Max. size:  39.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 60 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaiian Islands and Johnston Island.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits clear lagoon and seaward reefs (Ref. 9710). Benthopelagic over coral and rocks (Ref. 58302). Feeds on benthic invertebrates and small fishes (Ref. 9710).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 11 March 2009 Ref. (130435)
