Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Cyprininae
Max. size:  12.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 6.4; depth range - 2 m
Distribution:  Asia: Bailang Subterranean River in Guangxi, China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 8-8. No external visible eyes; depigment; scaleless; and, reduced swim bladder (Ref. 44736).
Biology:  Cave-restricted species (Ref. 27297). Encountered in two caves at about 30 m from their entrance at 1.5 m depth. Feeds on plant and insects (Ref. 86777).
