Family:  Serrivomeridae (Sawtooth eels)
Max. size:  65.7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 2000 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Cape Verde and Senegal (?), from Gulf of Guinea to the south. Western Atlantic: off Brazil (Ref. 47377).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A mesopelagic species feeding on crustaceans and small fishes.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 22 November 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
