Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Bering Sea coast of Alaska to Diablo Cove, central California, USA.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 41-51; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 36-41. Caudal rounded. Pectorals small.
Biology:  Found in rocky areas, tide pools and off beaches (Ref. 2850). Burrows in loose gravel and sand or among broken shells on the bottom (Ref. 2850). May not utilize the intertidal zone for reproductive and recruitment purposes (Ref. 56899).
