Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 200 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: known only from the type specimens taken from Mauritania to the Gulf of Guinea. Not in Compagno's 1999 checklist (Ref. 35766).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs on the shelf and upper slope waters (Ref. 4426). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).

Threat to humans:  harmless
