Distribution:  Africa: Dja (middle Congo River basin), Sanaga and Nyong in Cameroon (Ref. 81639).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 17-19. Diagnosis: 61-73 scales in lateral line; 20-22 circumpeduncular scales (Ref. 81639). Description: mouth terminal, without barbels; scales with divergent striae; scale formula: 11.5-12.5/61-73/6.5-7.5; 3.0; 20-22; dorsal fin origin in advance of anal fin; D: III,7; A: III,14-16; P: 13-14; V: 8; caudal fin forked (Ref. 81639). Coloration: body silvery, caudal fin orange with median rays blackish (Ref. 81639).
