Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7 - 8; dH range: 15 - 30
Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh (Ref. 4832) and Myanmar (Ref. 41236).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in rivers, canals, ponds, ditches and inundated fields (Ref. 1479). Occurs in standing waters over silt and mud (Ref. 41236).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 18 March 2010 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
