Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine; depth range 5 - 60 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Huacho, Peru to ChiloĆ©, Chile.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 27-29; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 19-22. Caudal fin subtruncate. Body brownish, with some obscure dark markings (Ref. 27363).
Biology:  Inhabits rocky and sandy bottoms and feeds on crustaceans, polychaetes and small fish.
