Family:  Mugilidae (Mullets)
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; brackish, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: Iraq and Pakistan. Reported from the Tigris and Euphrates river system in Turkey (Ref. 35765).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Mainly inhabit freshwaters, but often enters estuaries. Form small schools. Oviparous, eggs are pelagic and non-adhesive (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 25 May 2012 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
