Family:  Stichaeidae (Pricklebacks), subfamily: Stichaeinae
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 21 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Pacific Grove in central California, USA to San Nicholas Island in southern California, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found from intertidal rocky areas to 21 m depth. Stomachs examined contained mostly invertebrates; mostly crustaceans (mysids, amphipods, and shrimps) and mollusks (Ref. 4930).
