Family:  Nemacheilidae (Brook loaches)
Max. size:  5.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from Fort Stedman on the shores of InlĂ© Lake in southern Shan States, Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Complete lateral line.
Biology:  Found in a shallow lake, with dense bottom and floating vegetation (Ref. 39226).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 21 January 2010 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
