Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Eureka in northern California, USA to Ecuador.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 60-75; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 56-66; Vertebrae: 50-55. Branchiostegal rays: 7 (Ref. 36399).
Biology:  Adults are found near bottom (Ref. 36399). Oviparous, with planktonic larvae (Ref. 36399).
