Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: middle Cumberland River drainage (Big South Fork and Rockcastle River) in Kentucky and Tennessee, and in the upper Tennessee River drainage in North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia in the USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits moderately deep boulder riffles and runs of small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723, 10294). Feeds on hydropsychid caddis larvae and heptageniid mayfly nymphs (Ref. 10294).
