Max. size:  9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Atlantic Slope drainages from Hudson and Susquehanna River in New York to Neuse River in North Carolina, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit gravel and sand riffles and runs of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723). Eggs are found buried in the substrate (Ref. 7043).
