Family:  Clinidae (Clinids)
Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 18 - 22 m
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: known from one collection taken off the mouth of the Storms River, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 36-38; Dorsal soft rays (total): 2-3; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 25-27. Head and body with large, irregular, white-edged blotches of russet brown; fins hyaline; anterior part of dorsal fin yellowish brown (Ref. 5496).
Biology:  Collected over gravel (Ref. 28111).
