Distribution:  Asia: known only from Bangka, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-6; Anal spines: 12-13; Anal soft rays: 8-11. In males, the pale subdistal band on the caudal fin incomplete, interrupted posteriorly, constituting a series of oval pale spots on the fin membrane while the rays are dark pigmented.
Biology:  Inhabits slow flowing creeks among vegetation.
