Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit freshwaters and tidal rivers. Its bright color and small size attract aquarists. Oviparous, eggs are unguarded (Ref. 205).
