Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 1 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Angola to the west coast of South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 10-10. Bronzy brown, lighter below.
Biology:  Inhabits shallow water over rocky bottoms. Feeds on seaweeds, echinoderms, crustaceans, mollusks and worms (Ref. 3688).
