Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: upper Wami river drainage in Tanzania.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in temporary pools, swamps and rice fields (Ref. 3788). Bottom spawner, X months incubation. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
