Max. size:  3.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Only known from the type locality in Tanzania.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 14-16. Characterized by white margin of dorsal and anal fin.
Biology:  In shallow waters among weeds.
