Max. size:  3.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.5 - 7; dH range: 4
Distribution:  South America: Parts of the Amazon basin of Bolivia, Brazil, and probably Colombia; the upper Orinoco basin of Venezuela, and Guyana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds on worms, crustaceans and insects (Ref. 7020).

Threat to humans:  harmless
