Distribution:  Africa: middle Congo River basin, including the Dja (Sangha drainage) in Cameroon (Ref. 80507), Luachimo (Kasai tributary) in Angola (Ref. 11970) and the middle Congo River (Ref. 106245), Kasai (Ref. 11970, 95523), Uélé (Ref. 42480), Ruki (Ref. 11970), Aruwimi (Ref. 42480, 106290), Itimbiri, Lindi-Tshopo (Ref. 106290) and Wagenia Falls (Ref. 106245) in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 6-7
Biology:  Feeds on small invertebrates (Ref. 13614).
