Mugilogobius cagayanensis (Aurich, 1938)

Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from the island of Cagayan Sulu, Sulu Archipelago, Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 7-9; Vertebrae: 25-26. Adult males mostly plain dark brown, females with indistinct mottling and oblique bars posteriorly on light brown background (Ref. 43716). TRB 10-16, 14-24 small predorsal scales; gill opening oblique, usually with few small round knobs on edge of pectoral girdle (Ref. 43716). Caudal fin oval, rounded posteriorly (Ref. 43716).
