Max. size:  20.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 200 - 1211 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: East China Sea and off the Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 96; Anal soft rays: 77
Biology:  A benthopelagic species at bathyal depth (Ref. 56809). Common species (Ref. 34024). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
