Max. size:  15.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 9 - 18 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lives among kelp, sometimes among floating Sargassum. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205). Males may be brooding at 12.15 cm SL.
