Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from two male specimens collected in 1911 from the Sermowai River in Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 22-22
Biology:  Not very well known.
