Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Ajamaru Lakes near the center of the Vogelkop Peninsula, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-19; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 21-27
Biology:  Inhabits high altitude lakes (250 m).
