Family:  Chaenopsidae (Pike-, tube- and flagblennies)
Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 30 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Costa Rica and Panama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits mollusk and worm tubes on near-vertical rock faces. Feeds on zooplankton, including copepods, amphipods, and ostracods.
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 25 May 2007 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
