Family:  Mormyridae (Elephantfishes)
Max. size:  26 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Gabon, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau (P. Guinea) and Liberia. Known from Cameroon and the Guinea-West Liberia region as well as in the Gambia, Senegal and the upper Niger River (Ref. 2915).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 25-34; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 33-39. Dorsal fin origin slightly behind anal fin origin. SL/body depth ratio = 3.2-5.0. Caudal peduncle depth 2.7-4.9 x its length.
