Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Araguaia River basin, Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-13; Anal soft rays: 15-17; Vertebrae: 27-28
Biology:  Inhabits seasonal swamps, lagoons and pools in typical savannah areas or transitional regions between savannah and forest (Ref. 57947). Bottom spawner, 6 months incubation (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 07 November 2018 Ref. (130435)
