Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed); 8 cm (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 7 - 17 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan and Taiwan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 12-12
Biology:  Lives around boulders on sandy bottom with heavy growth of algae.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 19 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
